85924 - Transcription: Middle East Crisis: A Rocket is one thing and a Missile is another

Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias
In the Middle East where this crisis is taking place we ought to be very careful in the vocabulary we use. E.g. we often hear the expression, the rockets. We must know and comprehend that Hamas has not had rockets for years now. In actual fact, this entire armory has been replaced, via Qatar and Iran, with missiles. Therefore, these missiles can’t be compared to rockets which are not of great accuracy, nor do they have a long-range. We have therefore missiles with a different range, with a greater accuracy which can hit targets without the problems faced by a rocket. This means that if the vocabulary remains the same, we are under the impression that we are talking about a short-range armory, although the facts have changed, and the choice of the word rocket is of importance, because it in fact tries to reduce the confrontation taking place practically, whereas we ought to talk about missiles.
