If we study this conflict at the strategic level, we can see that it is not just a proxy war, it is also something like a psychological operation. Because even if we already entered in a new phase in this conflict, we can see that Hamas’  propaganda is still the same. Hamas is trying to prove that the control of the situation is possible and that they control many regions of Gaza. But in reality we know that on the ground level everything has already changed. So, they lose many areas, they lose the control, they lose the population and in fact we can see that Israeli forces are going deeper and deeper in Gaza. Even the network of the tunnels is not sufficient to resist to this counterattack from Israel. The situation is more and more clear but the propaganda of Hamas is still the same. They are trying just to communicate in this wargame and not to resist in an efficient way. They just want to show an image but the reality is different. So we have to study only the reality. We don’t care about the propaganda, we have to see the real situation on the ground and we can see that Hamas is not helping at all the Palestinian population. In fact it uses this as a shield, as a human shield. But it’s possible to see the reality if we stay at the strategic level.
