The problem when you are in contact with the reality of the frontline, is that it’s impossible to stay at the level of propaganda. And now, North Korea is facing this issue. You can say many things about your power when you are far because it’s impossible to control and to verify it. But at the frontline everything is different because everyone can see the truth and the limits of propaganda. With the first dead North Korean soldiers, everybody is able to see the weakness of North Korea. From the Far East, everything is easy for its dictatorship because it’s talking against democracies and there is no war. But in the war, at the frontline everything is difficult. Even if there is no need to sacrifice people and to fight against Ukraine, the dictator wants his soldiers there. But it’s useless if they are simply dead. This point is crucial and it will become more and more important. It was from the beginning a strategic error from Russia but now it’s also a human error for North Korea. We saw its repercussions and we can imagine its impact in the near future. By the way, if North Korean soldiers go also in the Ukrainian territory, it will have a consequence as South Korea is already ready to assist Ukraine in this case. That’s why this clash is relevant for the new situation.
