This year we have to be ready because it will be a year of war, strategy and energy and our vision has to be freedom and we have to avoid the trap of artificial peace, which is a characteristic of dictatorships. We have not only to fight against barbarity, but also to defeat it and it’s necessary to do it in the right way in order to avoid its classical failure. We saw the problems in Israel, in Lebanon and in Syria. Now the next step can be Iran because it’s responsible for the proxy war against Israel with the help of Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis. Its target was to destabilize the region but it was a failure at the strategic level. And now we can see the new contact of Syria and Saudi Arabia which represents another failure for Iran but also for Turkey which has invested in this new chessboard in order to play alone. But in the Middle East Turkey has no dominant strategy. In reality, its strategy is restricted at the level of tactics. We already have two great crises one in Ukraine and the other in the Middle East but we have to keep in mind what it’s about to happen in the Pacific Ocean and especially of course in the Far East. So we have to be ready for this year because it will be another year of struggle against barbarity. For this reason, freedom is more useful than peace which is compatible with slavery. We have tools and weapons to fight but we have to use many notions of Grand Strategy efficiently.
