Our position shouldn’t be defined by the initiatives of barbarity. We have to be dissuasive and for that we need to make moves which are sente and not gote and this will be very important especially in the Pacific Ocean. In this great goban, we know that China wants to play in an aggressive way against Taiwan. For the Communist Party of China, 2021 was an important centenary and it’s the same for 2049. So we have to be prepared before any flashpoint. China is waiting for an error to be interpreted as an opening to start a new wargame because it wants to create a moyo in the Far East. But its real vision at the level of Grand Strategy is to impose its dominance in the entire Pacific Ocean and for that it has to create a big frontline to declare a war against the USA. That’s its great target and not only Taiwan or Japan or even South Korea. We are talking about the other Europe in order to create a powerful alliance with the US. We have also to valorise structures like AUKUS and Quad to show that we are together and that we follow the Grand Strategy of Rimland. It’s a way also to show that the big dragons never die. China sees the game in the Far East as a simple tsumego, so we have to show that it is in fact and indeed a yose.
