96635 - Strategy and targets

N. Lygeros

• When a strategy has many targets, it’s more robust because it’s difficult to avoid all of them.
• A strategy when it’s dominant can have only one target, in the other cases it’s better to have more than one because the secondary will hide the principal.
• In order to have many targets with one strategy you need to valorize a bifurcation. By this way it’s possible to work at the same time with all of them.
• Tactics can have only one target but for strategy it’s an error in general. The only exception is the dominant strategy.
• A strategy can have many tactical targets. That’s why it’s so important to discover its principal and its critical when you want to resist  effectively to it.
• A strategic vision always needs to set simultaneously many targets and also a high degree of freedom to choose the bigger impact.
