54218 - The Alexandroupolis liquefied natural gas terminal with Bulgarian participation

Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias
For years now we have been committed to the program of the liquefied natural gas terminal in Alexandroupolis and we are observing the developments.
Consequently, from a strategic vision which seemed somewhat utopian to many or even bothersome to others, who did not know exactly what it was about, we have now reached upon a national project for Greece into which Bulgaria, that is, another European country, will eventually participate.
This is quite substantial for Alexandroupolis but also for Thrace in general, since it will also provide working positions and growth within one of the largest ports of Greece.
We have therefore a new signature which comes to enhance the Greek positions and to transform the port of Alexandroupolis into an energean hub.
This action costitutes a justification for Thrace, which for so many years has been struggling in order to participate in the energean project of Greece.
We now obtain in addition, an intergovernmental agreement, therefore the task acquires yet another range, since it will be able to supply not only Greece and Bulgaria, but also Romania as well.
This is of great importance because the access to central Europe is now possible.
In this manner, this national program obtains a European range potential, on account of the persistence of all those who believed in it from the beginning.
