54928 - Occupied Thrace
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias
There is no reason whatsoever for Thrace to still be occupied. This 3% of the turkish territory has no historical coherence with Ankara.
After all, Turkey herself has no relationship whatsoever with Europe and that is what she admits .
As a result, occupied Thrace cannot constitute an excuse for the European character of Turkey.
In actual fact, if Turkey moved her capital city from Thrace to Ankara in 1923, it was precisely because there was no certainty.
Even the official name change of Constantinople in 1930 is indicative of that.
Turkey herself does not trust occupied Thrace.
She observes it more as a dead zone, just in order to obtain a minimum strategic depth, due to the spearhead that it constitutes at a geographic level.
History says it herself, that Constantinople is strong only if it is connected to Thrace.
The Asian side does not obtain a similar status.
Those who do not see it, they do not observe the mental schemes of Chronostrategy.
Consequently a polemological approach points out to the future of this 3%.
