Far away from China everything looks fine. But after a zoom we can see many territorial disputes between the People’s Republic of China and neighboring states.
Macao and Hong Kong were special cases.
Aksai Chin is claimed by India.
South Tibet is claimed by China and controlled by India’s Arunachal Pradesh.
Senkaku Islands are controlled by Japan and of course claimed by China.
Finally, Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu and the Pratas Islands are controlled by the Republic of China
and claimed by the People’s Republic of China.
All this is also related to the wars involving China.
