Everybody is sensible to the power in any sense of that notion. So it was relevant to imagine the existence of extraordinary powers. A way to think of them is to consider that they represent the characteristics of a gifted and another that some of them are accessible after the teaching of a Master. The idea is present in many traditions and it’s of course related to the notion of transcendence. If something exists it can be a gift, the direct way, or the result of a teaching, the indirect way. In both cases, the extraordinary powers are characteristics which are possessed or desired.
