85107 - After desires and greeds
N. Lygeros
When you read the following sentence: the Veda is the cow, the true Agama its milk, it’s impossible to avoid their relation. There is no opposition but a real continuity. The dual approach can also be complementary. That’s why we can see a blend of it even in canonical texts. Many traditions consider that the renunciation is a way to go further. Others see desires and greeds only as tools. They aren’t the final quest. And in reality there is a way to combine them without any doctrinal opposition. The spiritual life doesn’t need to deny life because it’s already a gift.
