The Kurdish question preoccupies Turkey, Syria, Iraq, all the more. The change of phase which the great alliance provoked through the confrontation of the terrorist powers of Daesh, are not only local but enormous. So the consequences of the Kurdish struggle and not only of the question, prove that it doesn’t only concern of a detail in the region but of a catalytic action which provokes reactions and creates new structural elements. The fact that the government of Iraq tries to overcome the difficulties that existed in the past with regards to the Kurds. Because they see now in a clear manner that the independence of Kurdistan is no longer a utopia but a vision is prepared for realization. Also they realize that Turkey’s approach is not only inefficient but it aggravates the whole situation and leads to even more extreme conflicts due to prestige which do not provide absolutely anything in essence. The Referendum on September 25th 2017 was not only symbolic, it showed a direction with goals. Also the fact that the Peshmerga, who operate as forces of Kurdish security, received reinforcement by the USA, so much on an advisory level as on a strategic level too, changed the given data of the region. This created a new situation of things, also for the autonomy of Iraq, since it allowed her to claim even more from the central government of Iraq. So Bagdad is forced to see Erbil in a different gaze and to find a common frame of alliance before the situation changes without a way of no return as we see it in Turkey now. The Kurdish question becomes all the more powerful and its influence becomes even more important in the wider region. If we don’t place the Kurdish issue within our strategic mental schemata of our visions we don’t see how topostrategy and Chronostrategy operate in the Middle East.
