21422 - Poor gifted children

N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias

One of the worst problems caused by the inequality in education, which is aggravated by the financial problems, is the issue regarding poor gifted children.
More specifically, if we take into account, that a child in every fifty on average, is gifted, and that one child in every thousand is exceptionally gifted, then we realize that all the poor gifted children will not have the opportunity to have a career, which will enable them to help our country due to their intelligence.
Only the rich will remain , which are few in Greece because of the current conditions.
The most devastating though, is that their total mass is no longer sufficient in order to produce tasks which would alter the data due to energy.
Therefore, if we leave the poor gifted children to perish, as a result of the education system and the economic situation, in actual fact, a part of Greece, and more specifically the innovative part, will be absent in the future.
So, if we are aware that the future of Humanity is intelligence, and we don’t forget that Hellenism constitutes a gift of time to humanity, then we have no choice but to help the poor gifted children to find their place in time.
It’s inadequate to simply whinge about it .
There are resources for special cases, as there are methods for their detection and for didactic techniques applicable for their development.
If we want to boast about preparing the future of our homeland, then we must find innovative solutions in order to save these children who are merely vanishing.
