20287 - The message of Hellenism

N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Vicky Baklessi

The message of Hellenism must be clear. We are not miserable nor lazy, but we remain fighters even during the most difficult moments, while others might have given up from before. So nobody says that our position is not difficult, only that now the responsibility belongs to us to prepare the subsequent. Because the moment is meaningless as difficult as it may be, there is no meaning in the present with its obstacles but the future, because it is what we will live, we and our children. We have no right to forget about them and must think not in a reactionary manner but with resistance and rationale so that we send a message to all the peoples that support us in all of Europe, because they see that we are putting up a struggle. Hellenism isn’t trying to prove that it is an ideology. It constitutes a necessity for Greece, because this way it never dies. Hellenism is more diachronic than the ideologies because these generate dogmatism. Hellenism generates work that the whole of Humanity admires. Now is the time to prove practically that we continue this work, because only in this manner will there be transcendence and will overcome the obstacles that cause so many difficulties. We are determined to continue our course incessantly within the Europe we created.
