20252 - The issue is not politically oriented

N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias

The issue is not politically, but nationally oriented.
And all those who believe that their political party is their homeland, leave us indifferent. The government represents Greece, and not one or two parties.
It is of course the political parties which win the elections, because we live in a democracy and that is what’s proper for the Greek people.
But with the expiration of the elections and the formation of the government, then, that is for all the nation and not merely a section of it.
Consequently, the government should not fall into the trap of factions and trends, otherwise it can not be expressed in a clear manner and it couldn’t support a cohesive strategy that is consistent with the actual facts.
There are countries which have collapsed, because their political leadership functioned exclusively on political party inclinations and their problem was simply how to save their party in order to preserve their positions, because if there were democratic elections to take place, they wouldn’t have withstood the selection.
The high strategy of a country, is not related to political parties and the ideologies which do not utilize it have a short lifespan.
The problems faced by Greece will not be solved on political party terms, but nationally, because it is Hellenism which helps Greece, otherwise it wouldn’t merely die with the parties, but it would not live at all, because they would have extirpated her due to lack of strategy of a certain degree.
