15696 - The most selective ability

N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Angeliki Papadopoulou, Evi Charitidou

The most selective ability
is not to remember
but to choose what to forget
because some things
should leave
from the field of memory
so that it may overpass
the social nonsense
which delays the evolution
of the intelligence’s thought;
so memory, this piece
of Humanity that we have
makes decisions
with selectivity
in order to enlighten us
inside the darkness
when we do not know
which path to follow
at the crossroad
of the blue
after enduring
the self- sacrifice.
